Working paper prepared for the MPS: the Walter Lippmann Colloquium and inaugural meeting of the Mont Pelerin Society, re-visited

For the general meeting of the Mont Pelerin Society in Oslo (2022), I wrote a working paper exploring the future of economic liberalism against the backdrop of the Walter Lippmann Colloquium and the inaugural meeting of the Mont Pelerin Society. I devote special attention to arguments made by Louis Rougier in his book Les Mystiques Economiques and by Walter Lippmann in The Good Society. The term "liberalism" here is used in the classical, or European, sense.
